Synopsis: |
Avtaar Kishen (Rajesh Khanna) and Radha (Shabana Azmi) have a close knit family of two sons, Chander (Gulshan Grover), Ramesh (Shashi Puri) and an adopted son, Sewak (Sachin). Avtaar toils day in and out as a mechanic in a workshop and takes good care of the family. He meets with an accident and becomes invalid. His sons turn against him. Chander marries a rich girl against the wishes of his father and stays with her in her house. The elder son, Ramesh who gets a job doesn?t take care of the family. When Avtaar gets the compensation he gives all the cash to Ramesh who uses it for his own purposes. Finally a day comes when the old couple are forced to leave the home. Sewak continues to stay with them and helps Avtaar open a business. They achieve success in their venture. When the sons realize their folly, will Avtaar take them back into his fold?? |
